Hello, I had a total abdominal colectomy in August 2014 and am looking for people going through the same thing. It's hard to put on and maintain weight. Glad to hear from people with a colon as well :)

Still have my colon :) , but long time Crohn's sufferer as well. I have been on both ends of the spectrum as far as losing and gaining weight goes, so I know your struggle. Currently, I have been in remission for 1+ years since starting Remicade, but I do deal with a multitude of side effects from the drug, all of which I believe to be worth the price of not having to deal with the Crohn's. There is a group here for Crohns and colitis folks. I have a number of friends on my list who are also Crohn's sufferers, so feel free to friend if you want.

You may or may not already know of this, but there is a forum for IBD patients called crohnsforum.com that is a really great resource for information and support.

No large intestine and have had a bag since 2007. I also had small intestine removed twice. I love the bag- I was so sick before and had no quality of life. I eat what I want and am strong and healthy.
