Quilting to lose weight

Hi! I am very new to MFP and am hoping to find some support, so I thought I would reach out.
I am 46+, married, mom, working full-time and a quilter by night!
I enjoy piecing and hoarding free patterns.
I also have 2 dogs and we love to go camping.
I have > 50# to lose!
Help!!

I used to cross-stitch to keep my hands busy, didn't want to get the fabric dirty, so I'd keep my mitts out of the snacks. :D

Good idea. I do this with an adult coloring book.

Hoarding patterns - the sign of a true needlewoman. :D I hoard knitting and sewing patterns. I should be either knitting or sewing right now but I'm too tired from shoveling snow.

I have several quilt tops waiting to be finished. Along with several crotchet blankets in varying degrees of completion. Some paintings, and cross stich too! I enjoy crafts, but I have the attention span of a gnat. Best of luck to you!

I'm in NY. We got about 2ft, not as bad as my friends in PA and MD. Our drifting was so bad though that I figure I shoveled at least twice that. Our roads are still a mess but I have to be at work in the morning anyway.

Here in WI we have managed to avoid most everything with only 1 storm so far this season. Really light for us.
