Am I correct!

I am 5'4 and 185 pounds. I chose the option to lose 1.5 pounds a week. This is my first week so my calories show 1340 a day. Wanted to see what others around my size are doing. I want to see progress but correctly.

    Hi Kimberly, I'm also 5'4" and started around 180 with the plan to lose 1-2 lbs per week. I began in April of 2015. I tracked my food (staying around 1200-1500cals most days) and went to the gym everyday but nothing happened for a long time. I eventually lost a few pounds (I'm sure it was all a result of the gym not food) and quit tracking my food. More recently, I've discovered I am not eating or forgetting to eat. I think of eating, look in the cupboards, talk myself out of eating high calorie foods get discouraged because I can't be bothered to cook a chicken breast and make a salad so I just say "eh I'll figure it out later" and later never comes. I now have a goal of eating at least 1000-1200 cals per day. I don't know what the answers are. I try my best to remember to eat frequently but it seems all I do is chew all day long. Granted I could go have beer and fries and get all my cals but I don't want to do that either. :neutral: I can't seem to find the balance between free-for-all beer and fries, and eating enough veg and protein to meet the minimum requirements.
