Can anyone advise me on ideal macros split?
Female, 169cm, 69 kilos, workout approx 4 times a week...
I'd like to loose about 4 kilos...
After reasearching on line and calculating my protein is 50% but this seems quite high?
I've heard of the 40 40 20 method, protein at 40'and cycling carbs & fat, can anyone recommend this?
Thanks,
Confused!

50% protein is silly, anything over 35 is probably excessive.
You could just start with the standard 20/50/30F split of MFP or if you want more protein 30/40/30F or if that's a bit lean 30/35/35F etc. Depends what you like to eat really, as long as there's enough protein and some essential fats.
Try something for at least 2 weeks and see how it goes.0 -

There is no ideal macro split. Lots of splits can work for you. Keep it simple. Start with what MFP gives you and take it from there; if you eat enough calories (not aiming for more than 1/2 pound loss per week, at your weight), and still feel hungry, you can look into amounts of fat and protein, both of which contribute to satiety. One gram of each per kilo of body weight at a normal BMI is reasonable and often regarded as a minimum, but, again, lots of setups can be equally fine. Depends on how you like to eat, too. If you can't stick to it, it's not going to work anyway.0
