I love Leslie Sansone DVDs and its a great little work out...I'm just curious how I should be logging them. They are considered in home walking where you can accomplish a mile in 15 min but it also incorporates other moves. Would this be considered aerobics or just a faster pace walk when tracking cardio?

Hi there, usually Leslie's walks are 2, 3, 4 or 5 miles. A mile usually takes between 12 to 15 minutes.

My exerience with her has been, 4 miles for one hour, so you can just adjust accordingly.

If I do a 3 mile walk, I will log it as: 'Walking 4 miles 45 minutes', hope that helps!

Thanks...I've been logging as walking too...Didn't know if it was considered more aerobics than just walking. :)

I log them as aerobics. The ones I've been using (fat burning) do not say how far you're walking. It's more than just walking in my opinion on these videos. They're a bit more intricate than the others I've done in the past.

Low impact aerobics works for me. I've compared calorie burns against my heart rate monitor (Polar FT4) and the numbers are similar.

Here's a link to the Leslie group. They have challenges every month. Good timing ......February one is up

GREAT! I've noticed that if you log aerobics its shows it burns more cals...then when using brisk or fast walking. And they do seem more intense than just walking.
But either way I'm staying under my daily goal.

I tend to use my arms a lot, maybe that's the difference. Anyway, it's close.

I do too...And I think using your arms takes the whole workout to another level...It surely makes me tired quicker...lol
