Maybe a silly question

I'm new here (just found the community earlier in week) so forgive me if this question is ridiculous. I am measuring and logging everything; how would you measure/know calories of a bite of something. Today was
My son's birthday party and I did great, I brought a Greek yogurt with me so I wouldn't eat the pizza or anything but I did lick the serving utensil from the cake. How would I get a decent idea of how many calories that cost me?

For a lick of a serving utensil from a cake, I would log 25-50 calories depending on how big the lick was, how much frosting was on it, etc. It's really just your best guess.

Nope, not a silly question. I've done, we've all done it (peanut butter and potato salad are my often licks, lol). I'm guessing it was mostly frosting?. If it looked like a tablespoon, I'd log a tablespoon of frosting. If you don't know the brand, pick a commercial brand (with a verified entry). Done.0
