I'm reasonably muscular, but I have this annoying layer of squish that I can't seem to get rid of. What can I do to get rid of this extra squish?

Embrace it. There are millions of people that wish they had some squish.

I kind of agree with harrybananas because I like a little squish.

But if you don't want it you drop it just like any other fat. Calorie deficit.

Unfortunately, spot reduction is not possible. If you truly have fat to lose, you'll need to have a calorie deficit (consume fewer calories than you burn.) Eat less, move more, or do a combo of those two. Keep your deficit at a reasonable level. I have no idea how much fat you actually have and, to be honest, I keep thinking that you likely have extremely little and would benefit from some strength training while eating at maintenance.

If you're reasonably muscular, I'd guess that means you do some kind of strength training. Keep doing that (with a reasonable protein intake) and eat at a calorie deficit to lose the fat.

to get rid of the squish you neeed to lower your body fat percentage, which is done by what others have said.

Are you lifting weights on a regular basis or have an active job? If the answer is no, most likely you are not reasonably muscular. As others have said, you need to lower bodyfat to get rid of the squish.

I live on a farm so I am lifting hay bales and moving fifty pound feed bags a lot as well and I bucket a lot of water. I do not lift weights though

That fair. As others said, just back off on the calories a bit.
