I am looking for the hardcore burners out there, the ones who spend 1-2 hours or more per day working out, the ones who burn over 1,000 calories or more. Don't get me wrong I support everyone who works out and burns calories but I found myself with other 3 or 4 friends who work out as much or more than I do and I am seeking others. C'mon I know your out there.

Well, being female, it is more difficult for me to reach 1000 cals burnt a day. Generally get in at least 700, and three or four days a week it is 1100 to 1200 not counting strength training which I try to get in a minimum of three times a week. Hours pit in varies between one hour to three hours daily, unfortunately as my weight dropped it is harder to burn up the calories.

According to my BMR I burn 1100 just sitting on my butt. THankfully I don't. I do workout 6 days a week. if thats enough for you to want to add me, great!! if not- i won't lose sleep over it. ;-)

I burn this once a week now. Soon to be twice a week. Not every day though. Soon it will be much higher than 1000 once a week. And I am pretty small...

I play indoor soccer for 90 min, 3 days/week. I don't know what 'soccer, casual, general' means, but it says I lose 813 calories for 90 min. It's more intense than it sounds, since people who I play with are damn competitive, and we would just run and run for for the whole time (more like interval training, walking a bit, then almost sprinting). When I don't play soccer, I go to the gym and do muscle training/cardio for 60-90 min.

As a little 4 ft 11in lady I burn 500/day. It makes me sad when a grown man can do just as much as me (aka my boyfriend) and double the calorie burn).

Your small lady friends might be burning more than you give them credit for.

Good point, 500 is still a great burn! I shall remember my small lady friends put in just as much effort!

Quite some claims going on, and some vast over-estimations in terms of exercise.

The respiratory system requires and burns 700 calories a day, which accounts for most.

An intense weights sesh burns 250-350 calories at most, and that's lifting heavy.
Cardio -steady state running burns on average 100 calories/mile.

I can believe 1,000 calories for a 10 mile run, but 750-800 calories working out 1 hour and 20 mins? 813 calories playing football? Where are these claims coming from? People vastly over-estimate how much calories are burned with exercise.

Also, it's worth pointing out that working out much over an hour produces cortisol, which is bad for the body.
