Kellog's Shredded Mini Wheats. What to do with the shreds?

We go through a lot at our home. My husband needs snacks and I this is one of the snacks that works.
The kids also eat them.
Each week I tend to end up having at least 1/2 sandwich baggie full of shreds.
I have tried:
Adding 1/2 cup of flour and water and baking = fail.
Adding jiffy mix corn muffin mix half and half = fail.
Jiffy mix apple pie muffin mix = fail. Way too sugary tasting.
Adding those crunchy cereal nuggets = expensive and not really healthy.
Brownie mix = does not fit into dietary plans. We like foods we can eat in higher amounts.
I want to make something healthy with these. Adding any food with sugar seems to make them too sweet and defeats the purpose. I want to actually make them healthier.
I'll take any ideas you have. Anything.
I have search online till the ends of the earth. Nothing makes this healthier than the original cereal.

I would just eat them, either as is or with milk. I'm one of those people who eat crumbs.0

This is a good question. I like Kashi Cinnamon Harvest (like cinnamon Mini Wheats) and there's always at least 1/2 cup of "shreds" in the bottom of the box.
I was thinking of using them like a struesel topping on muffins. I would guess could sprinkle them on pudding
(instead of graham cracker crumbs or Nilla Wafers).
Would adding them to pancake batter work? Not sure.0 -
I would sprinkle it on top of yogurt - sort of like granola.0

Yogurt and muffin streusel ideas are winners! Add them to homemade granola or granola bar recipes. Spread a little nut butter on apple slices and sprinkle the shreds on top.

Put them in your yogurt.0

Topping for a fruit crisp?0

Are they sweetened? If not, you can use them as breadcrumbs or to crust things like chicken.
If they are, I love the yogurt idea and the fruit crisp. Baked apples with cinnamon and shredded wheat "crumble" would probably be great! Or used as a crust for a fruit crisp or dessert.0 -
So many good ideas here! I've got some apples........0
