Increasing calories caused a lot of weight gain

I increased my calories by 300 and I've gained almost 3 pounds overnight! I was wondering is this normal and will my weight eventually even out?

that is glycogen replenishing itself...and it will even out in about a week or so ....

    Yup.

Day to day/week to week fluctuations should be ignored anyway - they're not relevant. Focus on long-term trends in weight to ensure you're working toward your goal(s).

    Yes, and yes.
You don't think 300 cals = 3 lbs of fat?

My weight fluctuates 6 - 7 lbs daily. I wouldn't worry about it

Water weight, undigested food, glycogen replenish or a combo of all of these

Nothing to worry about, my weight fluctuates 5-6lbs on a daily/weekly basis depending on food intake, water intake, time of the month, etc, etc. Stick it out and your body will adjust accordingly.
