Anyone else have those foods that you can't resist when you're counting calories? Or miss them because you've cut them out completely?
I have a serious biscuit/cookie problem! Can't seem to go a day without at least 1. C'mon people fess up!

Sigh. I watched my mother in horror eating this when she was pregnant with my younger brothers. Melted vanilla ice cream with those cheese peanut butter crackers broken up in the ice cream. Heaven. Heaven. Heaven. Don't knock it! Funny. I have had no success convincing my friends to even try it0

Peanut butter? Vanilla ice cream? I am game for this yes please
But ah MFP says no...0 -
Oreo's. But I stopped eating them long ago or buying them I should say. I cannot eat just 1 or 10 for that fact. I would say donuts, but I will have one every few months if I really just want one. Other than that. No.0

Pizza! Leaving out the chips (fries), I can easily fit a whole pizza into my daily goals0
-
pretty much all fried food0
-
I love anything with melted cheese! I had nachos during the super bowl last night, all day i've been budgeting my calories so I can fit in another plate of them tonight! I'm going to be a little bit over but I'm going for it anyway!0
-
None. I don't give food any power over me anymore. If it fits I eat it.0
-
Taco pizza!!! Mmmmmmm... I can eat the whole pizza, and it's not humanly possible to eat just one slice ( or 2 or 3 lol) I try an avoid it, but once in a blue moon bring it!0

Pizza and bread. I can't cut them out or I'll binge on them. I compromise by making pizza at home instead of ordering it, and scooping out the guts of bagels to lower the calorie count.0

Guilt is overrated0

My children's breakfast cereal. I fit in a small bowl every night.0
-
Cheese! I love it and always make it fit into my day one day or another.0

Hmm...nothing in particular makes me feel "guilty". I've been having a bad physical reaction to too many carbs/sugars lately and I keep over-doing it anyway. Makes me feel guilty for not keeping it in check and putting myself through the pain.0

I admire you for this.0 -
I never met a Thin Mint cookie I didn't like. I even ate one while I had a stomach flu when all food sounded disgusting to me. But those thin mints, man... They are pure evil and will be the end of me!0

You gotta fight it! Fight those thin mints!0 -
@WishfulThinking0 lol lol I'm imagining a large thin mint with legs and boxing gloves on right now0
-
@piggysmalls333 legit I was imagining that whilst writing it. If only fighting the cravings was as easy as a fist fight...0

I don't crave them - just can't resist them if they are in front of me. Cannot refuse! One of the things I've learned since getting on the healthy train is the difference between emotional vs real hunger. When we are truly really hungry any number of foods will do because there is a gnawing in your stomach and you just need anything. When we crave a particular, specific food (that nothing else will do, it just has to be THAT) its classic emotional hunger so knowing that, I've stopped each time to try and identify why it's happening. Stress? Sadness? Reward? And remind myself that I'm not really hungry and don't really NEED to have whatever the craving is. I still give in sometimes but I'm so much better now days after practicing this.0

Sourdough toast with large amounts of butter and vegemite0

@zira91 @piggysmalls333 very good advice here thanks you two, just starting to get in the habit of moderation now0

Nothing is 'good, 'bad, 'naughty', 'nice' or 'guilty'. It's all yummy The best thing I did was to decide that I was only ever going to eat food that I really liked, and if you get in the habit of pre-logging you can make a bit of pretty much anything work!0

Guilty and pleasure... those two words do not go well for me. It is 100% guilty or 100% pleasure.
I have a couple of things in my go to comfy foods or foods that I would considered I am addicted to, but was it guilty or a pleasure? depends if I messed up may calories for the day or my attitude when eating it with or without a smile on my face??0 -
Mine is bread, specially crusty rolls and baguettes, im not eating them at the moment but it's killing me just thinking about it lol0
-
Hot Cheetos. Every time I drive past a corner store I have to turn up the music because they call my name0
-
Guilt = moral judgment.
Moral judgment is deeply unhelpful when attached to eating. Abandon that line of thinking.0 -
Right now I am finding that I can pretty much stay within my calories for the day....once in a while I di over indulge with a few pints or a bottle of wine...and then a bag of chips....but so far that has been maybe once a month0
