I'm on my way to get fit and fine for my birthday and know that I have an obsession with carbs.. Thus for 2 weeks I have been "low carbing" and I have been doing good but I have hit a speed bump. I've been craving sweets all week! Does anyone know any good sweets that are low carb and can kick my craving

I love ricotta cheese with truvia and a drop or two of vanilla extract. For me it works, but I am not a huge sweet fan either.

I have made quite a few of these from her, I am not into the ice cream stuff, but big into brownies, cookies and even the layer deserts with cream cheese, etc.

Depending on the things you buy for the recipes and if you cook enough you can tweak these to make your own... I have learned to cook with almond flower, coconut flower, and even my protein powder in cookie recipes..

My downfall is sugar and carbs. Sometimes I back off on my morning and afternoon calories, have an extra cup of coffee through the day and make room for a piece of homemade apple pie. I measure the ingredients cheating back on the sugars and carbs in the recipe and I get pretty good satisfaction. Just make sure you have someone else around so you don't polish off the whole thing yourself! It's a treat, not a standard menu item!

Have you tried the 'Atkins recipe: Mock Danish' desert demonstrated by Kent Alterna on YouTube. Tried it a few hours ago, using 6 oz of Philadelphia cheese, 1 egg, 2 Tbsp of stevia and 1 tsp cinnamon mixed together well and blitzed for 90 seconds in a microwave, with a quick melted butter and cinnamon topping added at the end. It's very tasty and moreish.

Here's a link to a recipe group that focuses on LCHF:

Also, if you go the launchpad / sticky note area at the top of the main low carber forum group here in MFP, and scroll all the way down, there is a VERY long list of links to websites with LCHF recipes available online:

    Hope this info helps!
