Hello all! Could someone explain or link me websites that explains what "macros" are in layman's terms? I'm new to all of this and I've heard that people on a macro/flexible diet has found it quite helpful. Thanks in advance!

The nutrients in food fall into three main groups - carbohydrate, protein and fat. These are the macronutrients or macros.
MFP defaults to 20% protein 50% carbs 30% fat from memory, these are % of calories not weight.0 -
Carbohydrate provides 4 calories per gram.
Protein provides 4 calories per gram.
Fat provides 9 calories per gram.
