Need buddy to stay motivated, loose 50 lb

Hello all
I am male 34 and 210 lb. i am planning to loose 50lb by end of this year. I know its a hard target. I need movation and discipline. Suggestions/ tips are really appropriated.

    Well, I started at 210 lbs, even tho my profile shows 205. Anyways, I'm down to 181 lbs and plan on getting to 175 lbs. I'm also 6' so I think it's an ideal weight for my height. I'm a bit older, 41 and have lost it all since a couple days before Thanksgiving. I started because I jumped on the scale at work and it said 215 lbs, work boots and clothed, which I assumed 5 ish lbs for all that and figured 210 as starting weight. That 215 was the highest I've seen and it kinda shocked me, so that's what got me started. I record everything and eat better, not great. And I exercise 6 days a week, have cut out all soda. I haven't changed what I eat too much but more how much of it I eat. I still drink beer if I choose and lemonade/vodka when I choose. I wasn't sure how I'd handle it all as I've never really tried to lose weight, but now it's a change I believe will stay. Good luck too you, I'm sure you can make it happen.

    Dear Maxpyne,
    My conclusion about this journey is that we need to have one important person on our side - ourself. I am 294.6 lbs and aim to get close to 150 lbs with no time limit. I maintain open diary and share my exercise which is basically walking to work, waking during breaks and walking back from work to my bus. Wish you good luck.

    Thank you guys. I have had hard time shedding these pounds even before.
    I have now
    1. cut back completely on soda,
    2. added a protein filled breakfast in my routine,
    3. I get 3 days of excercise per week, that I need to increase to upto 5/ 6 days,
    4. i usually have a bottle of wine over the weekend, that I definitely need to cut down,

    I guess meal portions are next item that I have to focus on. :)
