Creatine supplement while cutting?

I understand some of the basics of what creatine does and why to take it. I'm not doing any type of show or trying to hit a certain number on the scale. I am just trying to burn body fat while maintaining strength. Is there any reason that a creatine supplement would negatively impact that? So far I am progressing as I expected to, I just want to make sure I'm not slowing myself down by taking it right now.

Thanks.

You are fine to take it. Only when I am cutting and closely watching the scale do I not take it because I want to see what my weight is without the extra water.

As long as you don't need exacting weight tracking I would absolutely take it to maintain workout performance.

Creative itself does not so much help with strength directly, but helps hydrate cells which allows greater cellular function leading to greater strength increases overall through the ability to perform more work over time.

That's what I was thinking, but I wanted to get some input from others on here that are far more knowledgeable than me on the subject. I have been taking it since I changed my diet for cutting. My body fat percentage has dropped, and I have lost weight to coincide with the amount of body fat dropped. I check my weight to compare it to bfp and to stay on track with eating the right amounts of food, but other than that, I don't care what the scale says exactly. I feel stronger each week with regards to my workouts, so I don't feel like I'm losing any muscle. I appreciate the feedback.

https://examine.com/supplements/creatine/ This site should be able to answer any question you have about creatine.

Then I say keep doing what you're doing. Why change something that is working?

For the bolded I would actually recommend taking it. The only reason anyone would have for not taking creatine during a cut would be intra-muscular water retention which shouldn't matter unless you're competing.
If you're in a deficit, you want every advantage in the weight room to retain strength and muscle mass. Go creatine!

@Mycophilia Thank you for the link. I will read that page.
@JayDam1 It is working, just making sure a change wouldn't make things work better. :)
@Carlos_421 Thank you. I will continue taking it and keep enjoying my progress. haha.
