I know the feeling. I had to go to dinner with a client this evening and totally blew my diet; prime rib, garlic mashed potatoes, appetizer, multiple glasses of wine, luckily no desert. I've been very good for the most part, but I let it down tonight. Tomorrow is a new day, sigh.

Just coming down off of a THREE.....DAY......BINGE, and feeling pretty disgusting. Did I really just blow 3 weeks worth of work in 72 hours?! Yes, I think those SIX cupcakes I ate may in fact have done just that. Or perhaps it was the cookie dough that I ate RAW b/c I simply couldn't wait the 10 minutes that it would have taken to bake the cookies. So, I'm feeling pretty pathetic right about now. Anybody want to be my accountability partner? I don't think I'm handling things well on my own.

You may have ended your streak, but you're still at, I'm guessing, 21 of 22 days without soda. That's still 95.5% of the last three weeks that you didn't drink soda! That's amazing! It's ok and normal to feel badly about binging, but don't let feeling badly overtake and negate your accomplishments! You're still here. You're venting instead of binging, and that's progress.

"Finish each day, and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some absurdities and blunders no doubt crept in. Forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; you shall begin it serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense."

Thank you for your support guys i have managed to lose 1.4 pounds even tho i went on a binge eating rampage. I now have learnt from my mistake. My favorite quote is "In order to succeed you first have to learn how to fail".

And we all fail, many times! I almost cried a couple of weeks ago because I sat in my bed and ate like 10 pieces of chocolate...for no damn reason. I did it and knew it stupid and did it anyway then felt bad when I was done. It happens. Acknowleding it is huge because now you begin learning how to correct the behavior. Thsi time you see it after it's done, Maybe next time you see it coming... Use some time to be proactive, figure out what will you do differently next time! :)

My 4th week in was it for me. I still worked out but could not stop eating (bad stuff, not the healthy stuff). Then Mardis Gras came, then Valentine's day. Now this week my mom's birthday yesterday and my sister's on Thursday. That's 2 days with birthday cake!!

The only advice I have is what I tell myself...shake it off and start tomorrow as a new day. It's like a 12 step program for me, take each day one at a time. You fall....dust yourself off and start back. Each week I feel like I am 'starting over'. Good luck!!! And sometimes venting makes you feel better instead of feeling guilty inside.

Learning to get right back to it after overeating (aka failing) has been the key to my success and I hope will be the key to keeping the weight off for the rest of my life. Real failure is being so upset that you give up.

We all break our diets. The trick is to not let it get you down. You have to dust yourself off and get back at it. Sometimes you have a bad day and the exact thing you need are cupcakes, french fries, pizza, etc to feel better. I've done it. More than few times.

But I'm still down 27 lbs. I've had set backs and disappointments, I've fallen off the wagon and eaten too much, but by just keeping at it, I've continued to see results. One bad day or one binge is not going to destroy you, your diet, or your goals. Just keep working at it!!!
