stay away from mass gainers as much as I can, get your nutrition from real food - if I struggle I make a protein shake with myprotein whey and depending on macro goals use whole milk/skimmed milk/almond milk. and add nut butters in.
Most gainer shakes have a load of sugar in them. Save cash - make your own

1)Protein Powder: Optimum Nutrition. Gotta get a reliable brand, since many things in the fitness industry are very shady
Protein food: Chicken Breast, Fish, Greek Yogurt, Cottage Cheese

    2) Mass Gainer: None. Filled with BS and empty calories. Just eat more than your TDEE by +300 to +500. High caloric foods help, such as whole fat milk, olive oil, peanut butter, protein shakes with lots of stuff in it, etc.

    You forgot the oreos

I'm on a budget- usually oreos go with it- but the budget is killing my oreo addition.

But yes ice cream + oreos + milk = mass gainer.

With first meal - ON Serious Mass vanilla- 1/2 scoop with milk
Post Workout - ON 100% Whey GOLD vanilla with milk
Before Bed - ON Casein whey vanilla with milk.

I can't get all my cals from whole food so have no problem using the above. Easier for me which is a good thing.

I had a similar thought when I read the title.

    1) Powder = Optimum nutrition
Food = shrimp (if only it didn't cost 6-7x the price of chicken)

    2) ice cream is probably top of the list.

    Home made mass gainer:

    1 scoop whey concentrate
    1.5 cups whole fat milk
    .5 cup oats
    1 banana
    2tbsp almond/gainzbutter
    Fishoil
    1 cup spinach
And sometimes flax seed for extra fiber.
Shake usually ends up being around 1000 cals
