I could really use some new POSITIVE MFP friends! I am in my 40's, and I need to lose about 30 pounds for many reasons! I am signed up for a marathon and I have a closet full of cute clothes that I can't fit in to. I'm ready to change my life! Send me a friend request if you're in a similar boat.

HI, I'm 43...I'm starting again too....I have been at it this time since the 10th. I have a bit more to loose (52# to the top of normal per BMI - 70# to goal weight - middle of BMI). I'm down almost 5 lbs (I know this is mostly water weight). I am more motivated this time. I lost my father last August to his health, and mom is going downhill quickly. I want to be healthier for my family (and for for me). My brother made a big change about 3 months ago...Now it is my turn.

I will be 48 this year and ran my first marathon at 45 . All i can say is get a good training programme and get out and run . Its hard work but very rewarding on the day . The weight will come off . Good luck
