Maybe there's just a lot of shade down there under your impressively large bust.0

Go to a dermatologist and get checked for acanthosis nigricans. They can take a small sample and test it. Do you have dark patches anywhere else? Armpits and back of the neck are other common areas. I have it under my arms. Scrubbing and peels won't do anything if it is acanthosis nigricans.0

On the genitals, perhaps some evidence suggests it.
Certainly not on thighs.

Yeah maybe it is for people that put it right on the genitals.0 -

honestly i have learnt so much from this thread
do not eat too much bread, does it matter the colour of the bread?
talc on my lady parts causes cancer0 -
Most baby powder brands are made with cornstarch. I vote for body glide and if there is an issue or suspicion of insulin resistance, speak with your doctor. Yet since you haven't really given specific details, I can only assume that it may be more of a weight issue. Most times when you lose a great deal a weight the area will lighten. I have seen that on ppl arms near their armpits.0

Chemical peels work amazing the trick is to not get a very strong one or leave it on too long. Lactic acid is the best. Make sure you have a neutralizing solution handy or you will do more harm than good. You can get lactic acid for a good price on amazon you just have to dilute0

It's not "baby powder" that causes cancer. It's the talc in the baby powder that has been linked to cancer. As was said up-thread, many baby powders are talc free now, and are made with corn starch instead.
In any case, I doubt it will help lighten the pigmentation of the OP's thighs. And of course bread has zero to do with it, but for some reason has become the easy scapegoat for every body issue.0 -

As already stated....talc has been studies and may be linked to cancer when used directly om genitals. Baby powder is now talc free (cornstarch is used instead), so its a moot point.

Don't put baby powder on your bread. Of that I am certain. Makes it too gritty.0 -
Don't put body glide on your bread either.0
