Is there a way to flush your system of excess sodium after a day of going a bit overboard??? :embarassed:

    Drink lots of water. And make sure you eat foods high in potassium.

    Your kidneys will take care of it.

    Sodium balance is pretty tightly regulated, assuming you don't have certain underlying problems (cirrhosis, congestive heart failure, pituitary or thyroid problems, kidney failure, to name a few).

    One thing I've heeeeard but I can't verify is that mixing a couple of tsps of apple cider vinegar into your water can help. Of course, I've heard that ACV can do everything from cure cancer to establish extraterrestrial contact.

    Hey girlies, what's that thing about potassium? I've heard it before but can't remember the specifics--like, if the ratio of potassium to sodium greatly favors potassium, that the sodium can't do as much damage?
