Still have macros but my calorie count is over?

If I add up my macros by hand (multiply grams of carbs/proteins by 4 and fats by 9), I still have 250 calories left. If I look at my calorie count on my journal, it's over my goal. Do I go by those listed calories or the calories based on macros that I calculated? Thanks!!

I would go with the calories listed. It's all estimates, anyway. 250 calories is pretty close but you might want to double-check the accuracy of the database entries you are using.
Rounding is a problem. One gram of fat may be 7 or 8 or 9 or 10 or 11 calories. One gram of carb or protein may be 3 or 4 or 5 calories. Those calorie differences add up over the course of the day.0 -
Go by the calories. Macros are rounded and that will make them less than accurate as a way to calculate your calories from. I only look to be close to my macros. In particular trying to reach or exceed my protein and fat, and let the carbs handle themselves. When I stop eating is when the calories say I can't or when I am full and need to head to bed.0
