Hi in 2013 I was doing lots exercise then in 2014 I tore my calve muscle couldn't walk for 6 weeks so exercise was difficult fur many months as pain
Then last year long story short
I miscarried then fell pregnant had haemorrhaging 3 months soild bed rest then I caught sepsis and my waters broke lost baby at 5 months pregnant intensive care lost 2 litres blood placelet and Blood transfusions
Went home then had weeks of hemoraghing again nearly died a couple times last year
I had 11 blood transfusions in 3 months my last 3 were in October so it's taken me months of walking to get to the point where I don't fell extremely ill like I was.
I have 50lbs to lose I want to up exercise from walking to a little cardio and weights but not sure I'm fit enough feel tired a lot still
Anyone else been very ill then was able to exercise again what was your exercise programme etc

What about this guy. He couldn't even walk unassisted for 15 years and got better.

Me. January 2015 I almost died from ignoring symptoms for too long. I ended up in the ER and was diagnosed with Crohn's disease after a colonoscopy that showed I was days away from perforating. I was hospitalized for 34 days on iv nutrition, steroids, antibiotics and other Crohn's meds. My serum iron was undetectable (below 0.9) and my hemoglobin was very low (6.3). I had five blood transfusions and 8 iron infusions which didn't help for more than a few days until my biologic drug (Remicade) started working in September because of lower GI bleeding and malabsorption. I couldn't even get up from picking up something off the floor without assistance. I rejoined the gym in October and started strong lifts (I was a lifter before I was hospitalized) and have mostly regaining my strength back. I am not medically cleared for cardio yet. I only can go to the gym 3x a week and even with that I am exhausted because of fatigue associated with my disease but I try my best to stay consistent. I still also have chronic abdominal pain and joint pain but I listen to my body more.0
