why am i not losing any weight

I have been sticking to my calories of 1200 per day and doing at least 30 mintues of excercise 4 days per week. but for the last two weeks i have not lost even quater of a lb. help am i doing something wrong?

    Change your settings to make your diary public so we can see what the food situation is.

    Have you lost any inches? Sometimes you lose inches in your waist, hips, and thighs before you see it on the scale! :)

    It's possible you're not eating enough. That's been my problem for years, and why I gained the weight in the first place! I now know that I need to have at least 1200 NET (after workouts are accounted for) in order to lose. I will not lose if I net any less than 1200.

    im generally eating 1200 before my excercise so net i will be eating less than 1200. never really had this problem before but this time round just cant seem to get any lower in weight and i measured my arms top of my thigh hips and waist and they have all increased by half an inch :(

    you might just be replacing fat with muscule! don't get discouraged!

    you pretty much do need to eat back at least 1/2 of your exerise calories to reassure your body you are going to keep giving it al the nutrients it needs.
    if you don't eat some back, you body is more likely to act as if it needs 'save' everything for an emergency... i learned the hard way, you need to eat more to lose *S*

    i think im having this problem...havent lost or gained any weight...havent exercised either..just started doing that today....

    sounds to me that you arent eating enough. Netting under 1200 will work only for so long and then stall. Try to have your net atleast 1200 and see how that goes for awhile..

  • you need to eat more than 1200. your body won't run on 1200 calories a day just because you want it to, especially if you're exercising; your body will need more calories than that.
