Welcome to Turbo Jam! We're gonna punch kick sweat and have a good time!
Did the 20 minute along with the Shred today. Do you ever have days of complete uncoordination?? I've been doing this for months and today I just felt silly. I couldn't hold my form at all. Weird.
Anyway hope you are all getting your work outs in!!

yep - every single day of my life! :laugh:0 -
I am there in spirit jumping away !! Still waiting on the package to arrive :ohwell: i'm dying to get started!! I wonder if the Shred dvd is in the maximum results.. gonna have a check on that..
Keep up the good work everyone!!0 -
I was *just* getting ready to start the new thread, Lyn! Thank you!
Something crazy came over me & I did AbJam, Fat Blaster & Turbo Sculpt during nap time. I still need to do the 20 min. with hubby tonight & get my pushups in. I think someone slipped something into my water today. LOL NUTS!
Deedun - the Shred isn't a TJ workout. Jillian Michael's 30 day Shred. I've heard good things, but I'm skeptical b/c it isn't TJ. LOL
Hi, Heather! Are you joining us? :flowerforyou:0 -
Ah well I still get a good range of dvd's with teh max package, just really impatient now!
How can you fit in all those workouts!! That is amazing! How many cals did you work up today so far?0 -
Oh, geeze. I don't know how many cals I burned! I should look that up, huh? LOL I'm really bad about forgetting these things lately. I don't have a HRM so I just use the estimate on the website.
I put the kids down for a nap & started working out right away. My oldest was awake for most of TS & my middle son woke up at the end, but he's still in a crib so I kept him in baby jail until I was done.
Just talked to my husband & I guess I'm going sledding tonight, too. Yay. :indifferent:0 -
Sara I've decided that your kids must take really LONG naps. I can't get Adi to sleep longer than 45 minutes ever since she started rolling over. UGH
Deedun I hope your dvds show up soon!! I remember when I ordered my I was so giddy all week just waiting for them. As soon as they arrive I tore right in to them and popped the first one in the dvd player!!0 -
Well, Tabitha is my best napper. She only takes one a day, but that one usually lasts about 2-3 hours. Micah was taking up to 2.5 hour naps, but the past week he's decided that he doesn't need to nap at all. Luckily, as I said, he's still in baby jail so I give him a couple books & he has relaxation time at least. Zeke is questionable. Sometimes an hour, sometimes 3 hours if I'm REALLY lucky. Today, the boys went down & were very loud for about half an hour, but stayed in their room (while I did AbJam), then Zeke fell asleep (and I did Fat Blaster), Micah never fell asleep & woke up Zeke as soon as I started Turbo Sculpt. I literally put them down, ran out of their room & hit play so I didn't waste any time today. Got done with one, switched dvds & kept on moving. The good thing with Zeke right now, though is even if he's awake while I'm exercising (like today), I can get him to sit at the table next to the living room & play with play-doh or watch a movie on my laptop. Today he "lifted weights" with me during Turbo Sculpt. I told him to pretend Beanie Babies were weights & he kept up with me pretty well....enough for a 3 yo. LOL Oh! Sometimes when I do multiple workouts in one day, I will do one in the morning before the younger 2 are awake and then another during nap time. I squeeze them in when I can. And there's my novel of my workouts.
Micah was that way once he was able to start rolling over as a baby. I finally gave in & just started him out on his belly. Starting there seemed to help keep him asleep longer. Of all the issues I've had with my kids, sleep is #1 at the top of my annoyance list. It's always an adventure. :grumble:0 -
Sorry I haven't been on in awhile. I have been faithfully doing my workouts. I started an economics course for my master's program and it's already kicking my butt!
I did Total Body Blast last night and upped my intensity and my abs hurt today! I'm actually loving that!0 -
Hi! I just joined today. I have the TJ maximum results package. What do ya'll put in your exercise to record it? I can't get anything to pull up.
I need motivation to exercise!
Oh, my name is Christy by the way. I have a 6 year old, 4 year old, (at school right now) and a 13 month old walking around saying mama mama mama mama to everything. lol..0 -
Welcome back abs. Glad to hear that you are still faithfully working out! How were your holidays?
Welcome Christy. Before I got my HRM I just used the kickboxing/judo/tae bo category to enter my workouts. I don't remember what it calculated...I'll have to look...it was pretty close to what I actually burn according to my HRM.
Sara I WISH Adi would go down for 3 hours even if it was only once a day. I get 3 30-45 minute naps out of her a day. And I guess I could do 3 different workouts during those times but I like to get my workout down and out of the way and then shower and get ready for the rest of the day.
I guess I should get to all that since it's getting late in the morning....0 -
Good Morning Jammers,
Still waiting for my DVDS but really excited to read all of the progress you all are making. I can't wait to get mine. I forced myself to get out of bed at 4:15 this morning to do 30 min cardio overdrive (the firm, - cardio w/ weights) according to the chart that 239 calories! woo hoo! anything over that is extra for the day. it always feels good to get it done in the beginning of the day - that way it's done and if there is energy/time later I can fit another work out in.
Hope everyone has a good day, stays their course with their eating plan and keeps moving.
:bigsmile:0 -
Did 20 minutes and the Shred. Burned over 550 calories today. I stepped up my TJ just a little to see what I could get away with without my HRM beeping at me
Welcome Dragonfly. I hope your dvds come soon
Oh yea I ordered my new ones...they probably wont be here until the end of the month. Not really impressed with Amazons shipping :grumble:0 -
Long time owner...first time jammer. LOL!
I've been on mfp for a week, now, totally behaving myself with calories...still need to work on getting the healthy stuff in me...but it's a start.
Anyhow...I GAINED two pounds! WTH? Looks like it's time to break out the Turbo Jam DVDs that I ordered and never (that's right, never) opened. Wish me luck! I'm doing one tonight when I get home! WOOT WOOT!0 -
Yeah for Tara!!! Try it try it and you may, try it and you may like it I say. Welcome!0

Hello
Just did TJ fat blaster only burned 179 calories. I just can't seem to burn any calories with these workouts.0 -
Hey Gang,
just checking in ~ and I'm still waiting on my DVDS. (soo impatient) Did another 40 min of firm cardio party (i think I took the uncoordinated pill too, lol!) just too keep myself busy. I get home from work so late ~ after working out its ... 930 tonight- pretty hungry too. I've got to figure out whats reasonable to eat later at night that is like ...food ~ a carrot is just not going to get it.. I was hoping I could figure out a way to eat dinner by 730 but with work that just isn't going to happen. I dont have any kids~ just my 4 minature schnauzers and my good old girl miss vicious (lab mix, not vicious at all~ will absolutely lick you to death!) The mins just look at me like I crazy jumping around and Miss Vicious gets a great view from the couch, the Alpha female is defintley the smarter one out of this bunch. Guess it's ye old "turkey sandwich on double fiber bread" for me tonight.......again. Anyone got any suggestions for a late night supper, I'm open to all help.0 -
Good Morning Jammers,
overslept this morning and was only able to get in 20 minutes of pilates this morning but at least it better that not doing anything!! Trying my best to stay on track!! Just checked my inbox and got confirmation email that my TJ Max (+ gloves!) is on the way !! Woo Hoo, I am so ecited!! Am going to get in at least 1 10 minute trainer on lunch and i scheduled myself 1 hour of hard core fusion after work when I get home. i put myself on my "to do " list ~ learning as we go. Much more conscious of my food since I have been using the food diary here too and staying well within my requirements.
just wanted to check in - take care guys and make it a great day :happy:0 -
I didn't do TJ like I said I was going to yesterday (sick kid) BUT I did it this morning! It was more sweat than I expected! ha!
AND I picked up Jillians shred at Wal Mart for 9 bucks! I can't wait to try that one...perhaps tomorrow mornin'!!
I will lose this weight somehow...some way!0 -
Forgot to check in today OOPS
I did 20 minute and the Shred.
Tara, after doing TJ as long as I have, I can't stand the Shred....the workout is great but Jillian gets on my nerves the music doesn't flow with the workout and I HATE HATE HATE that you can't skip to the dvd menu and start the workout. I lose 5 minutes just waiting to get thru all the crap at the beginning. GRRRRRRRR! I do like the workout, so I've made myself a workout playlist for my MP3 player and I'm gonna try to time it with the workout so it's funnier.
Hope everyone is working their butts off!!0 -
I'm inclined to agree-- Jillian rather gives me the creeps. Good workout, but I haven't done this DVD since getting my taebo and turbo--0
-
Marla are you following me? Good to hear you are still doing your TJ workouts.0
-
yes, by day I'm mild-mannered Marla the homeschooling transcriber, by eve I'm the night stalker.0
-
My baby slept for 2 hours today YEAH!!!!
So I did CP and the Shred, burned 800 calories total. WOWZERS....feeling great!0 -
DVD's arrived yesterday (Thanks Jessmom0f3 :flowerforyou: ) and I just completed my first learn & burn workout. It was only 16mins long and I was a bit breathless after, I was thinking that wasnt sooooo bad after all... then I sat down and watched the 20min workout... O M G :noway:
How the hell am I going to be able to do that one without collapsing!! Are they all on drugs, bouncing around with all that energy!!!
Anyway... I'm hooked, I like the style of the workouts, the music is good, got me dancing while I was watching it!!
So I am going to go with the dvd planner and the 20min dvd is scheduled for Sat :ohwell: OMG !!0 -

Thank you for saying that Lyn, b/c I've been feeling like I should go get Jillian's Shred for some reason, but I'm such a TJ addict that I was afraid I'd have the same feelings. I shall save my $9.
Deedun - LOL You'll work up to it, I promise. It can be daunting at first, but once you get the choreography down, you'll be kicking butt & taking names! You can do it! It takes practice, so give yourself a few times to get it down.
So I just got done with AbJam...thanks again Marla (every time I do ab work, I'm thinking of you LOL), and FB. Gonna go try to TS a bit before the troops wake up.
Oh, and ABS! You're back! I hope your classes aren't too brutal!
Welcome to the TJ group, dragonfly! I hope you enjoy it as much as we all do! :flowerforyou:0 -
Hi All!,
I got home last night and DH left a box on the dining room table. I was hoping it was my DVDs but it wasn't............ My girlfriend thoughtfully sent us a batch of her homemade FUDGE!!! :noway: OMG, it was like Kryptonite or something . Quickly I scooted away leaving the treats for DH, Mr Super Metabolism, and I did 63 min of cardio!! After that, I was so tired - I couldn't have opened the tin if I had wanted to!!
Hopefully I'll get home today and will be able to pop them in!! The DVDS - not the fudge, lol.
I can't wait ~ and the gloves! woo hoo!!
Hope you all have a fine day and get after it!0 -
I just ordered the max results package...fingers crossed I like it!!!0
-
Oh, Kelly. You will LOVE it! I know it. It is a lot of fun.0
-
Sara you are alive thank goodness! Hope everything is okay at your house.0
