    Store bought or homemade?

I always eat Special K waffles.

I buy these ridiculously overpriced ones from the organic section of the grocery store because they're the only ones without hydrogenated oils. They're Gourmet 97% Fat Free Whole Grain.

    Two waffles:

    2g fat
    30 g carb
    5 g fiber
    5 g protein

Kashi GoLean Blueberry Waffles are great-

    2 waffles= 170 calories
    33 g carbs
    6 g fiber
    8 g protein

My other favorite are FlaxPlus waffles which have omega 3's and similar nutritional info to the Kashi ones. I think they are slightly higher on the calories and a little lower on the protein, but I think the Flax Plus ones are more filling. I have the Kashi box in front of me, but the Flax Plus should be in the database as I've logged it in before. I put 1 Tb. of simply fruit jam on both of them (1/2 Tb each) just about every morning. It's a great breakfast!

By the way, they're pretty expensive but I buy both of these kinds of waffles at Costco, which saves a ton, so look for them there if you're near a Costco!

I totally agree with the Kashi Blueberry waffles! They are so yummy! And I found some great sugar free syrup that is only 30 cal per 1/4 cup. A great breakfast for only 200 cals. Kashi also has Honey waffles but I haven't tried them yet.

I don't buy the low-cal waffles, but I do reduce calories by using Aunt Jemima Butter Lite syrup, and dipping the waffles into a measured amount of syrup. Pouring it on makes it way too easy to use too much and load on the calories! This syrup has 100 cals for 1/4 cup (I generally use 1-2 tbsp at the most, so less than 50 cals)
