If I exercise at 7 or 8pm at night, does the calories get added to that day or tomorrow?

I wanted to know if I go jogging at 7 or 8pm at night, do the calories that get added go to that nights total or should I just count them in for the next day?

I do not eat back exercise calories but wanted to know if I do feel like snacking, when it would be appropriate.

Thanks!

It's your preference. Look at your caloric expenditure and intake at a weekly POV. The body works on a larger scale than a day to day basis. As long as your hitting your goals for the whole week, you will be fine

Also, why aren't you eating your exercise calories (or a portion at least) back?

I eat some of them back if I feel like snacking. Not all the time but I'd say 40% of the time I eat half back. I tell ya, a little bit of OCD develops when counting calories like this. It seems a bit helpful in a way.

Ah, so it's a weekly timing thing. Thanks.

I don't think it would really matter, as long as you're consistent.

So either log it for that day or the next. But make sure your logging the same everytime. It should all even out.

LOL that's true about the OCD. I've cut back on my calories in OCDness...

As for the eating calories back thing...I've always felt that it's best to eat as much as you can while still able to lose weight because those calories are going to just get less and less as the weight comes off.

And I still blame Weight Watchers and my netting 700-1000 calories a day for that 30 lb weight gain when trying to get out of a plateau. :)

    And I like food.

So I eat every last morsel I can get away with.

(Also, there are health issues if you net too long for too long.)

I've noticed on my relatively active days (e.g. 6-8 hours of dancing) I don't really feel the increased hunger day of, but I will definitely feel it the next day if I didn't eat back some cals.

That day, but as others said, it is really a weekly issue. I usually try to figure 2-3 day windows balance out.

However, exercise at night = ICE CREAM FOR ME!! WOOOOOO!
