WAKE UP EARLY AND GO TO THE GYM

Hello,
Every time my alarm goes off, I decide that sleep is more important than a morning workout. I can't do it for myself, but I can do it if I have people counting on me.
If you would like to wake up early with me and go to the gym, post your name, target weight loss and what time you are going to wake up the next day. I am counting on you, you are counting on me!
Let's do this every day!
Woot woot!

I already wake up at 530am for work as a teacher. No way could I get up earlier and function well enough to teach AFTER the gym.0

Sorry to derail your topic but is there any reason why you want to go to the gym in the morning if it's such a struggle?
My main exercise is running but it's always in the evenings after work. Or on the weekend. I've never once been at the crack of dawn before work even though i could easily do so because I can't be bothered and have no motivation to do so... 6:30pm however is a totally different story as is straight from work0 -
I like early morning exercise. It gets it out of the way and you feel good the rest of the day. By nighttime (after work) I would have a load of reasons why I should skip the gym. That being said, I'm in. Going today in 1/2 hour at 5AM. Will be there tomorrow again at 5 AM.
I've got 25 pounds to lose!0 -
Tomorrow is Saturday, going to the gym at 7AM0

Went to gym today but in the afternoon. I am definitely going early tomorrow though (Sunday), that way I have the whole day ahead of me afterward!0

Megan, 20-25lb left to go, tomorrow is Sunday so I'll be sleeping in until 5:30 or 6:00 and I'll be running by 7:000

Yea. No. I tried for years to shift to early morning workouts. No. Not going to happen. I work out in the afternoon or early evening. I am not a morning person.0

It's 11pm and I just finished my workout. Sorry, being a student and a full time worker, and planning her wedding... I need my sleep. Those pillows are just so nice.0

Starting Monday I am trying to do 5am daily workouts. I have 1 more pound to go to meet my 50lb loss/MFP anniversary in a week so putting my cardio into high gear and being extra careful about my food choices. Already lost 2.8 this past 8/9 days so gotta keep the momentum going! To get out early I reward myself with a yummy Starbucks latte and play a funny show on Netflix once I'm on the treadmill. That's what gets me out of the warm bed - looking forward to those 2 things (in addition to meeting my health goals of course). Let's do this!!0

I don't get the people on here replying specifically to say they aren't going to work out in the morning. Just don't reply at all, the OP is asking for people who are.0

I'm not working out in the AM at the moment but will be soon. My hubby's shifts are changing meaning I can't go to the gym in an evening or out for a walk / jog once the kids are in bed. I could still work out at home in the evening but means waiting until dinner has settled and I prefer at least 2 hours before working out. So it just seemed to make sense to work out in the morning. My hubby will be in bed so I can go out for a jog or use weights / DVD's at home. Gym is still closed at that time! I'll need to get up at 4.30am to still leave enough time to get ready for work and drop the kids off.0

I love/hate doing my workout in the morning. You have to wake up early, but it is such a great start to my day, that I don't feel like myself without doing it.
We can do it guys!

blueboxgeek.....going early takes a little getting used to, but after about a month it becomes routine, and it is a really great way to start the day.0

I have about 100 lbs to lose. Goal of 8 - 10 per month. I get up at 4 am to get ready and get myself to work. No formal workout that early, but I do have to get up so that I can take the dog for a 15 - 20 minute walk. Gets my blood pumping in the morning, too.0

Lol, I decided there were not enough hours outside the working day for me to do what I want to do, so now I wake up at 2:30am, go for either a TM run or a TT spin of 30-45 minutes, and then at 6:30 am go for workout and cooldown run or ride ... absolutely bonkers but I now have heaps of energy, and it nicely adds to weight loss ... not for the feinthearted though0

iofred, just wondering, how much sleep do you get? And is getting a workout worth the tradeoff for sleep?
I get up at 4 am, and I really do enjoy working out early each morn, but I wish I had more time to sleep too. However, I still wouldn't give up the gym for more sleep. The workouts just make the day so much better. Do you feel the same?0 -
17-20 pounds to go! 10 am workouts for me usually on Mondays, Tuesday's,
Thursday's and Friday's. Want to get up early on Wednesdays before work at 6 am!0 -
I become really grumpy if I do not work out, and that is not a pleasant experience. I am a bit of an insomniac anyway, and for me it is definitely worth it. I can rest enough when I am in my coffin ... but I do go to bed early, around 9:30pm, so I should get enough sleep0
