Hi guys,
I'm really trying to lose weight. and even if I eat a healthy meal, I feel hungry again after an hour or so. and then it feels like I haven't eaten the whole day. for example I had a breakfast consisting of a big bowl of barley porridge at 7 a.m. and felt full but after an hour I felt really hungry but I didn't do anything about it, then at 10:30 it was uncontrollable so I ate a boiled egg and half a cup of tea, after an hour I ate a sweet lime (musambi). it has been happening for days now. feel hungry scene if I have a large meal full of fibre and proteins. and also, many times I never even feel full and start craving for more food and end up eating a lot. not being able control my food cravings.
please help me on this?! I'm really tense. any tips, advice will be really appreciated.

What is your daily calorie goal? Sounds like you're probably not eating enough, or perhaps need help spreading it out better. I'm afraid without seeing your diary, any help more specific than that is gonna be hard.

I'm sure there will be better answers than mine but I noticed that sometimes we feel hungry but we are not.
Our mind is tricky and our body is an easy prey. You have to train your mind and this takes time.
Plan how many times you are going to eat during the day, I have Breakfast, snack in the morning, then lunch and a snack in the mid afternoon and last meal is at dinner.
Avoid at any cost processed food and anything with added sugar because it will just make you more hungry. Try to prepare all your meals by scratch or at least as much as possible. Fresh food is always a better choice under so many points and it will also take more time to your body to process it and won't leave you hungry after little time like a processed food would do.
Switch things up, don't bore your body with the same meals over and over.
When you feel hungry, drink a glass of water and wait 10 minutes. Normally I just end up doing something else and I don't think about me being hungry anymore.
I don't think a musambi is enough as snack though...but meals packed with fibers and proteins should make you feel full for quite some time so I wonder if it's really just your brain trying to trick you. Are you eating meals that you like?
I stick with my theory where all you have to do is train your brain, unless you have a medical condition then I don't want you to ignore anything a doctor might tell you to do.

Hope this helps and hope you'll receive other answers so you can get all the advises you need :)

Maybe relook at your calorie goal? If you are set at 2lbs a week maybe reduce to 1.5? This may make you loose the weight sligtly slower but at least you will be happier :)

Go for protein in the morning. If you're having oatmeal, have some protein and fat with it. I know that if I start the day with plain carbs, my day is pretty much ruined and I'll be hungry all the time.

You might not be eating enough. But also your breakfast would probably hold you better if you had some protein and fat in there. It is pretty high in carbs and a big carb load that isn't balanced with some protein can cause insulin to have big spikes and drops that can make you feel really hungry even if you are getting enough calories.

Also early on in calorie restriction your body is just used to receiving more food. You may just have to endure the hunger for a few mornings until your body adjusts. Usually I found that its intensity would dissipate after about 30 minutes.
