I have been starting every run recently with Lose Yourself by Eminem...I'm not really a hip-hop fan in general, but that song really pumps me up for whatever reason.

I like to workout to songs by strong women or with a woman as a lead singer. Pink, Paramore, Halestorm etc. I am getting bored though. Gald you posted this. I need some fresh tunes!

I love country music-Most of Sugarland works for me!
  • I do Chalene Johnson's Turbo fire (the music is great). I was looking for the music list and got it from a forum. Check out this list -

I do think however that the songs standalone actually sound nothing like the ones in the turbo workout, since they have been remixed in her workout.

    - Donna Summers: Bag girls
    - Flo-Rida: In the ayer
    - Salt N Pepper: Boom! I got your boyfriend
    - Akon: Belly Dancer
    - Run DMC: Its like that
    - Duice: Dazzey Duks
    - Salt N Pepper: Push It
    - Kool & The Gang: Get down on it
    - Afro Rican: Give it all you got
    - 2 in a room: Wiggle it
    - Tina Turner: Proud Mary
    - Trina: Pull Over
    - Vanilla Ice: Play that funky music
    - Play: Every little step
    - MC Hammer: Turn this mutha out
    - Parliament Funkadelic: Give Up The Funk
    - Sugar Hill Gang: Rapper's Delight
    - Chic: Le Freak
    - Baltimore Club: Booty Call
    - Run DCM: Its Tricky
    - Colby O'Donis ft. Akon: What You Got
    - Wild Cherry: Play that funky music

Showing my age a little bit here but I use mostly AC/DC songs on the Mp3 player when I go jogging. The beat of their songs are perfect for my pace at 6mph and 6.5 mph on the treadmill as well. I put the drum beat on my right foot and I can run for as long as I have power for the MP3. Considering I have nearly 10 hours of AC/DC songs on my player, I'm good to go for long runs.

  • For me it's any song that I love because it'll make me sing along and just go along with the flow. A beaty song is important too. My list of songs is usually the current top songs.

I'm so glad you posted this! I definitely need some new workout music. My favorite is "You're Gonna Go Far Kid" by the Offspring. I always listen to it when I think I can't do anymore. I also like "I can do anything" by 3OH!3. It's kind of a weird song, but when it goes to the chorus I always think about it in terms of my goals.

I love A little more conversation remix, I physically can't stay still when I hear that song lol. I also get that for Ballroom Blitz, and ironically my children seem to be unable to stay still when it is on also. I also really like The girl is beautiful by Andrew WK....when I want to give up that song makes me remember when I was teen listening to that song a lot and it applied. I will be that girl again.
