Is low sodium chicken broth something you consider unhealthy?
If you would eat the two foods separately, combining them should be fine.0 -
What would be unhealthy about chicken broth?0

No but I just wasn't sure if this made it not as healthy when compared to quinoa cooked in water...its purest form.0 -

You don't need to eat foods in their "purest form" for them to be healthy. In some cases, the "purest form" is actually less healthy or much more difficult to eat.
Just make sure you log the calories in the broth and you should be fine.0 -
Just eat it raw. There. Purest form.0

I cook most of my grains in chicken broth, makes them taste better0

Why wouldn't that be healthy? Do you eat chicken, herbs, quinoa and water separately? Why would combining them be any differemt?0

You have to enjoy what you are eating....unless I will be adding something salty or saucy I would add salty or a bouillon cube when cooking0

You can use organic vegetarian low sodium bouillon if you wish.
whatever you use to provide additional flavor does not take away any of the vegetable protein and 9 aminoacids that quinoa already has.0 -
What is this "purest form" nonsense? I cook quinoa in chicken broth and I add pine nuts and wilted kale too. I also eat the "purest" forms of dark chocolate, pasta with commercially made pesto, bottled salad dressing, Absolut Citron in my vodka tonics, and hundreds of other foods. My plan is heavy on fruit and vegetable and light on heavily processed foods, but certainly mixing two or more food products together doesn't create some unhealthy result.0
