    Some pivotal decisions for me:
    • Joining the Air Force
    • Leaving my marriage and moving to a yoga retreat center and then an ashram
    • Leaving the ashram and moving to Florida
    • Coming back home seven years later

    Deciding not to press charges against my attacker. People tried to guilt me into doing it saying that I had to because I could maybe stop him from assaulting someone else but in the long run it would have messed me up more and delayed my recovery from what happened.

    Also let's face it, it was my word against his and he likely wouldn't have gotten any jail time.
