Hi FP community!
I am torn between these two fitness watches. I have watched review videos and read reviews but I wanted to ask you guys who have trailed and experienced either. Please feel free to share your thoughts.

Thank you for your comments in advance :)

In terms of output, they're much the same.

Personally I use a Garmin fitness tracker, but I also use a Garmin Tri watch with GPS for running and cycling so the system benefit is the main aspect for me.

The social side of the Garmin platform isn't as comprehensive though. Most people proselytising Fitbit talk about good customer service, and the social aspect. They're very good at replacig defective units. Make of that what you will...

Thank you! I appreciate your feedback. I think I feel Garmin more than Fitbit but I suppose both have their pros and cons. Thanks again :)

I have both a garmin (vivoactive, but wore a vivosmart HR for a few weeks as a trial) and a fitbit zip. I like them both and both seem to report very similar data, but when it comes down to it, I have a mini heart attack when I misplace my fitbit. I find the social side and the interaction with MFP much better than garmin.

Basically, if I had to choose between the two today, I would keep my zip and give up the vivoactive.

I have a Garmin Vivosmart Hr and I love, love, love it! I've never had a Fitbit but I did a lot of research before I got my fitness tracker and between the two I prefer the Garmin mainly because it is waterproof!

I have the Vivosmart. It also came down to these two choice for me also. I don't have the HR version as I already had a chest strap from my Forerunner. I bought the Fitbit HR for my BF and he likes it. Garmin also has great customer service in my experience. I only take it off about once a week to charge it.
