fitbit

Ok, so I'm a little confused. So, am I supposed to log in my walking and other exercise. I just don't which to do. I see where it shows calories earned for exercise, but it doesn't show the steps walked or time walked and if I put that in, will it mess up the calories earned total?

MFP automatically adjusts for steps from the Fitbit. When you do exercise, you're doing more steps, so logging exercise in MFP when it's already adjusting for Fitbit steps can cause double counting and inaccurate calorie counts. I personally just leave my exercise in Fitbit and view my stats there, and use MFP for food tracking and the community aspect and such

Also, the relative amount of steps (up to the last sync) should be shown on your home screen, underneath the whole calorie layout. It's an orange bar that tells you your steps. You should also see it when you scroll to the bottom of your diary. It's not as detailed as Fitbit by any means, but it does show how many steps MFP is reading from your Fitbit

This actually isn't the case. Walking and running are accounted for by Fitbit, so there's no need to log them. However, if you're doing something like the elliptical or a workout video or strength training (if you count those calories), that will still need to be logged. If you log it in MFP, the calorie count overrides what Fitbit says you burned in that time. Nothing gets double counted. Many Fitbit users, though, will actually log exercises in Fitbit because it gives a better burn estimate.

Don't forget to fix the setting in MFP to get your steps from fitbit. The setting is under steps in the MFP menu.

Actually, my Fitbit counts what I do on the elliptical as steps. So I don't log any exercise in MFP and let my Fitbit do it all.

You need make sure your Bluetooth is turned on, go into settings-Bluetooth (make sure it's turned on) you should see your Fitbit listed.
