I have been diagnosed with A-Fib. I need to find warfairn friendly recipes. Seems simple enough, but alot of the yummy veggies include leafy greens. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Than you

  • Vitamin K isn't contraindicated with warfarin therapy. It is only suggested that you maintain the same level of intake of it as prior to starting it. If you never ate leafy greens, don't start because it will reduce your clotting time to sub-therapeutic levels. If you were eating a lot, keep that same level because dropping it will increase your clotting time dangerously.

What maythesp0rk said. I was told, eat whatever you want, but be consistent. That makes it easier to maintain a therapeutic level of coumadin. Get a good list of the foods that contain a lot of vitamin K and refer to it often. I found through experience that blueberries are relatively high in vitamin K, for example. Many other berries aren't.

I'm hoping your Dr or pharmacist has said this to you.
