If you never want to hear the word “journey” again, we could maybe be friends?

I am a former runner and swimmer who works out hard when I can, but has a very sedentary job, a lot of stress, and 20 extra pounds. I’m looking for friends to exchange simple Likes and “You kick *kitten*!” comments. Not looking for much more than that. I want to be motivated by your hardcore workouts and consistent posting. I know you peeps are out there!

Your title caught my eye. Hate when people refer to it as their "journey". It's just a part of your life, don't build it up into something huge and insurmountable. That's my view at least.

I agree. I really think that I stopped failing over and over and made permanent progress when I stopped making such a big damn deal about it. It's not my full time job, it's what I stick in my cakehole. Making it an integral part of who you are gives it an importance which can be self defeating (and I say CAN be, not will be).

Yes, exactly. It's just life and you have to deal with it. You're not headed to Mars or something.

    Heh.

But I didn't and now it's stuck in my head!

I'm a mediocre friend lately (haven't been keeping up with my feed enough or logging), but I run and should start getting back into the biking and swimming this month and can always use a push. (And I also hate the j word!)
