You can buy numbing cream online and probably at walgreens! I usually do it myself and honestly the first two times are like "Oh my gosh!!" then it's not bad! I'd recommend going to a reputable wax place or spa that does it! You'll be glad you did it!!! Trust me :) grows back less and less every time

I shave but I have waxed before - my leg hair doesn't grow back very quickly so I can get away with shaving every third day, even in the summer :)

Shave. Pits, legs, chin (yeah, you laugh now but wait 'til you're near 50!), everything. I'd like to try getting "bikini" waxed but have been too embarrassed so far. I know you have to put your knees up to your ears and being seen from that vantage point horrifies me right now! :noway:

I shave, but not very often.

The hair on my legs is very light, so I can get away with quite a bit. I also discovered that the less often I shave, the slower the hair grows and the thinner it gets, so I only shave if I'm wearing something that shows leg, which isn't so often.

I had my upper lip and chin lasered and LOVED IT! I have fairly dark hair so the lasers worked really well. If you want to try laser hair removel, sign up for Groupon and Living Social. I paid $150 for 6 sessions (awesome deal!), and there are many that come out even cheaper than that.

I mostly wax or get my eyebrows threaded. I've been waxing since early high school, and it doesn't bother me at all anymore. Don't even flinch. (Well, I did with my lip, but that's all in the past now, yay!)

Legs, armpits definitely shave. I don't have the money to get them waxed, haha. I may get some more laser hair removal done in the future if I save up some of my spending money. It really is cost effective when you get a fabulous deal from Groupon. =)

    Shave. Everything. Everyday. (Swimmer, DUH)

I'd love the low-maintenance of waxing except I'd find that stage where you have to wait for it to grow back enough for something to grip absolutely repulsive. I don't think I could take it.

Laser I'll leave to people who really need it, our nation's resources are already tapped out as it is by the Kardashian family. Unless my arm hair is bleached out by the sun, you'd have to *squint* to even know I have any.

I was getting laser done (legs, bikini, under arm, face), and was seeing a noticeable difference everywhere. Then we moved and the closest one of my clinics is 5 hours away. :( So, it's back to shaving what wasn't gotten rid of. Good thing is, if I can ever get to one of my clinics again, my account is still active so I can get treated when ever (since I've already paid). :) I recommend laser!

Waxing is nice but like another poster said...there sometimes is a waiting period before you can do it agian...so sometimes while it's time consuming, shaving is easier.

Shave everywhere but my eyebrows. Waxing = ingrown hair, no matter how much I exfoliate.

I don't really have that much body hair to consider the investment required for laser - but I would if I had to!!

I'm still stuck with shaving everything, but I'd love to look into laser if I knew I had any chance of affording it. :/

My mom had the exact opposite happen -- she has no body hair anymore lol

Check out Groupon, Living Social, any of the daily deal type websites that are local to you. You might have to wait a few weeks/months, but Laser Hair Removal deals are actually pretty common! I see them every month or two, and that's how I got mine done. Many of them go for about $100 for 6 sessions - which is extremely affordable in the realm of laser hair removal. =)

What is the difference between laser hair removal and electrolysis? Does anyone know?

Ooh, I'm already subscribed to Groupon! Sooo does the hair actually go away forever? I keep hearing different things; that it's gone forever or that little blond/lighter hairs grow...

I'm not sure the difference of electrolysis and laser. I think laser is quicker, but I'd really have to look into it to see. Laser isn't always expensive..they always have deals you can print online or just searching for the best deals near you. I was initially talking about Brazilian waxing and wanting laser. I shave my legs and pits LOL. As far as regrowth between waxing, it is a little gross when it gets longer but it doesn't bother me. I told hubby if he dont like it then he don't get any! (it hasn't been a problem)

It will start by lightening the hair as well as making coarse hair finer. That's why they say the darker and coarser the hair, the better results you will see. But eventually it does kill the hair follicle for a permanent solution. :) I really wish I was able to keep getting my treatments.

Shave sometimes, but then sometimes I go weeks or whatever without shaving. I think either gender shouldn't be afraid of some body hair, and if I like someone it doesn't matter if they have body hair, or if they want to shave that's fine - but it's a personal choice.

I call shenanigans. French women don't shave anything. At least thats what jtuner77 told me. And if he said it, it must be true.

Mostly I shave, but I do occasionally wax. I always wax my eyebrows.
