Anyone not eat due to being depressed?

I just don't feel like it. I'm not a depressed person. But sometimes things happen that causes you to be bummed out and it sucks. What does anyone else here do?

The best thing to do would be to get professional help.

Not eating can exaggerate the symptoms of depression by further decreasing energy levels.

Just eat something. Make a goal to eat a certain amount of calories and eat so you're not weak.

I also suffer from depression. Unfortunately, I am an emotional eater, so not eating too much has always been my problem. I have never sought counseling, because it is very hard for me to open up about certain events in my life, but I agree it would probably be the best thing for you. That and forcing yourself into more social situations that involve food and uplifting people. : )

Well I don't suffer from depression but thanks to everyone who has responded with encouragement. I think I need to go out in more social scenes to get my mind off what's really bothering me.
