Is it bad that Im having my cals lower than the daily intake? 1200 is my daily goal plus the calories I burned from threadmill which is roughly 490, so sometimes I still have atleast 700/600-0 left.
Meals:
Coffee and Fresh orange juice for breakfast
Salad for lunch
And a glass of milk for dinner
Am I doing to much or just fine?
Please answer.
5'4 , 23yrs old
I was 70kgs and 67.1 the last time I checked, my goal is 55 or atleast 60 by may/june.

Yes. One time I had chicken soup but that was just one time
I feel better with just a glass of milk.
    Is it bad?

That must be one heck of a salad for that list to add up to 1200.

If your treadmill calories are actually right (I'm not saying that they are or are not) you are talking about eating 1200+490-600=1090 to 1190 calories per day. Once in awhile that's fine but doing it on a regular basis, for the majority of MFP members, would indicate that you are eating too little to maintain proper nutrition and lean mass while dieting.

If your goal is to be healthy, you are not following a path that will get you there.

You're definitely not eating a balanced diet. You're body is not going to be happy with you if you don't make sure to get enough vitamins, protein, etc.

I am trying to lose weight. Tho I thought that maybe, I was doing it wrong or holding myself too much. Ive been doing this for almost two weeks now, I feel so bad when I eat too much. And feel much better with the routine that I have. So the question in my mind is that, If Im trying to lose weight should I go atleast 1200 or is it fine to stay below?
    Thankyou.

Will you lose weight? Of course. But you'll also lose muscle mass. And likely consuming so few calories and not getting anywhere near the RDA of most vitamins and minerals, you are doing yourself a huge disservice. I know that it sounds counterintuitive, but you need to eat to lose weight, starving yourself may work at the get go, but unless you plan on becoming a full fledged anorexic, chances are that you will gain all the weight back and then some when you go back to your normal way of eating. You are seriously messing with your metabolism doing this.

Also, how long are you on the treadmill? The average person burns 125 calories per mile, whether walking, running, or crawling, so if you're burning 490 calories, does that mean that you are doing approximately 4 miles each time?

you need to eat 1200 calories plus eat some exercise calories back... you don't want to get your body used to surviving on so little!

Would some protein shakes can help me out a bit? I use to drink protein shakes before.

If you are eating so little it is more important to keep up your protein intake. If you can't stand the idea of solid food more than once a day then at least put some high quality protein powder in that glass of milk.

I would recommend real food. As much as I am not a fan of the SAD, take a look at the food pyramid and start there. Are you getting enough fat? Protein? Carbs? Are you limiting your sugars? Yes, CICO works, but you still need to be fueling your body with real food.

You haven't listed your age, weight, height, or sex so it is impossible for us to tell you whether 1200 is too low or not. But rest assured that under 1200 is too low unless you are extremely short, older, and sedentary or have some sort of medical diagnosis indicating the need to eat very little.

Losing weight does not require you to be malnourished. If you are feeling guilty over eating normal and healthy food levels, you may need to consider counseling.

    45mins.
Speed is 5.5min-7max (stays on 6.5-7)
And mostly the distance is 4.813km/hr

With light exercise (1-3 hrs a week) your TDEE (total daily energy expenditure or maintenance) is 2052 calories. If your exercise is moderate (3-5 hrs a week) it's 2313.

To lose 1 pound a week eat 500 calories less than 2052 or 2313.
    http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

Faster weight loss (under 1200) isn't healthy weight loss. You need to eat enough to support existing lean muscle mass. Fat+muscle loss doesn't look good in a bikini.

Your food plan you have listed is extremely sad. You need to eat more. The only food you're eating is a salad at lunch - I'm not sure how you even have any energy to do the treadmill.

Your post worries me a bit, because it sounds like you have some issues when eating real food. When you say you feel better, is it emotional, in that you feel like you've "stuck with your plan" better, or is it physical? If eating solid food is causing you physical pain, you need to go see a doctor fast. There is something wrong. And yes, it is bad if you are consistently eating less than a 1000 kcal a day. You will start to see malnutrition symptoms soon, if you haven't already. I find if I don't eat enough for a few days in a row, my brain gets a bit foggy, my energy levels drop to almost zero, and sometimes I get headaches. I average around 1350 kcal a day, and I am still losing weight consistently.

Emotionaly, I feel guilty when I eat too much. Physically, I feel lighter when I dont eat too much and can move faster.. So Im just kinda like "stick to the plan"
Do you have any meal ideas or snacks?

"Plan" on meeting protein and fat goals. Losing weight quickly will leave a fluffy (yet smaller) version of the current you. Most people who lose weight want a firm look, not a jiggly one.

To your orange juice (breakfast) add Greek yogurt or a couple of eggs

To you salad (lunch) add full fat dressing, nuts or avocado, and grilled chicken

To your milk (dinner) add a baked sweet potato, veggies and a protein (meat, tofu, beans or legumes).

Snacks - fruit, hard boiled egg, cottage cheese, string cheese, protein bar

I kind of feel like this is a troll post. "I ate an orange, a salad, and a glass of milk all day long. Is that enough??"

    Really

It might be outrage bait, but if it's real, she is doing serious long-term damage to herself.
OP, the earlier post giving you some meal plan ideas are good - you can vary items as needed, like switch up the protein you add to your salad, for example, or have a toasted whole wheat English muffin with a slice of cheese with your breakfast. The little bit of extra protein & whole grains will go a long way, and shouldn't make you feel overful.

    What's in your salad?
What fat percentage is the milk?
If just greens, and your milk is 1% your intake is probably around 300-400 calories. Not good. Eating close to nothing will ensure you'll lose your hair, get splitting nails, bad teeth and awful skin. I've been there, and I'm still recovering years later. Muscle loss is not a good thing, especially since the heart is one. Don't play with fire. You may feel 'fine' now, but this type of plan will catch up with you.

    I agree with this:

Very much appreciated. I just check my BMR and its 1501, according to that forum that Ive read my TDEE is 2206 x 20= 441, 2206-441 is 1765, thats should be my daily cal intake.

Now I have to figure out how to do the eating without being guilty.
Can I just have heavy meals in the morning and at lunch and just milk, yogur or fruit at night?

My salad has Canonigos(corn salad plant), canned tune in olive oil, cherry tomatoes, some cheese for ensalada, extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Sometimes just Raf tomato and the tuna.

Thankyou so much for responding on this guys. Ive learn a lot.

To the bolded: absolutely! Oatmeal and eggs for breakfast, plus fruit (or juice, but you get more nutrients from the whole fruit) and "dinner" at lunch time (protein, vegetables, something a bit starchy like potato or whole wheat bread), with a lighter dinner like yogurt and fruit at night is perfectly fine. If you're still short on calories, add in a protein shake or bar (something like Power Bar, Luna Protein, or Balance - around 200 calories and 10+ g protein) after your workout.

Don't feel guilty when you eat! You need to fuel your body. Food is not the enemy. If you continue to have feelings of guilt while eating, even when you know it's the right amount (you did the math yourself, you can trust that), you might want to seek a bit of counseling. Get on top of it before it develops into an eating disorder.
