Is it true you gain weight right before your period? Does this happen to you?

Yes, hormonal flux impacts weight. It sucks. But that's how the body works (dangit). I'll still weigh in, but accept any flux is just due process.

Yeah. It's pretty much all bloating from water weight for me, so it drops off.

Yep, water weight. I avoid the scale a week before I'm due and for a few days after my period is over, and I avoid scrutinizing myself in the mirror as well because I'm bloated as heck. It's usually 3-5 pounds that goes away after it's done. Doesn't help that I always crave salty stuff around that time, haha.

Water weight. I do suggest you try even harder at this time of month to stay within calories, or at least eat at maintenance. Basically, avoid using it as an excuse to overindulge and/or overeat. And don't worry if you go up a bit. It'll come right back down afterward. I don't avoid the scale. I weight daily. But I fully accept that weight loss isn't linear, and that water weight isn't the same as gaining fat.

Yes, and I usually have some serious cravings for anything sweet or salty. Basically anything that's bad for me haha. If there's snacking foods in the house that week I'm absolutely screwed ;-)
