Since sex actually burns calories and is a form of exercise it should be an exercise listed. Does anyone know how many calories it burns ?

I wouldn't log it... just think of it as a bonus. The calorie burn could vary widely based on time and effort.0
-
It's considered part of your daily activities. This topic comes up all the time and the general consensus is the calories burned are negligible.0
-
It would depend on intensity / duration.0

Sex is not a form of exercise. It is a lifestyle activity, just like walking to your mailbox or carrying laundry upstairs.0
-
Normally it would be included in your daily activity level.0
-
IT's like 100 calories.0

If you are getting it every day, it's a moot point. No need to count it.0

Nope, No, No. Sex should not be logged as exercise. That's just as meaningless as the people who log normal housework or doing the dishes as exercise  It's just clutching at straws...0

I think I'll start a chocolate and sex diet fad. I feel like this will be a huge success! And I'll say, "I'm not just the founder of sex and chocolate, I'm also a member"0

Feel free to log whatever you want. The fact remains that sex is included in your NEAT calories, which means it's part of your base calorie goal. Even when it makes you sweat.0 -

I looked this up. Apparently not alot.
But they probably fell victim to the life of a square.0 -
one of these days i'll get around to wearing my hrm and measuring, but my fitbit said it was around 70 cals for 15 min when it was attached to my boxers. i would call the activity level "moderate" that time.0

I'm on Fitocracy as well. Over there we tend to log it as "other cardio"... just be prepared for the knowing leers and jeers when you log it.0

I had someone on my friend's list log sex daily. It was creepy. I deleted her. I don't need to know how active your sex life is! (and I'm not sharing mine, TYVM!)0

this topic gets posted at least once per week and in the years i've been here this is the first time I've seen it posted by a male.
CONGRATS OP!! You're #1!!!0 -
I almost wanted to post had sex with calories burned just to be weird lol0
-
I burnt 300 calories on a 25min session ha0
-
I don't log it personally, just like I don't log cooking/baking/cleaning/washing car/mowing lawn etc etc etc i.e things that are done regularly and are just a part of daily life....]
but should you wish to log it, then go for it, create it under your own exercise and I'm sure you'll look forward to all the feedback you'll get from your friends when that gets posted lol0 -

Sweat has no correlation to calories burned.0 -
there is no certain calories for general activities, it changes person to person0

I read with interest as I noted very few apps exercise charts etc include sex. (Exception alcholizer that tells you how many min sex you need to burn off the drink consumed) however I found this by chance looking today.

Not perfect but also not a joke.
So it gives you an idea.

Sex is a completely normal activity that almost all of us get in on. I don't quite see how logging it would be creepy? Id be like "you go gurl!"0 -
You just don't log sex, unless you are going to an orgy or something, then log it.0
