I'm so frustrated guys... Have gained 10 kgs in a year
Just can't find right motivation ... Going gym on and off, no control on diet. Don't know what to do

make a decision to get motivated, and then fake it until you make it.0

Start logging all your foods without changing your eating habits for now. This will give you a clearer picture of what you have to do.
One doesn't need the gym or even any physical activity to lose weight. Set up myfitnesspal profile, weigh your food in grams and log it all. Every last bite. Eventually you'll learn how to control your food portions to get more out of your day.0 -
To young to be dead. I am closer. Great news; as you get older you find out that you can come back from the brink of death a lot easier than it appears.
You can't lose 10kg this week. So what can you do? What choices might you make differently today?
Are you logging all your food? Maybe you can start there.0 -
If you are dead, shouldn't you be losing weight due to decomposition?
Sorry. Hugs. Try small changes, just fix one thing at a time. 6 weeks of consistent workouts will build a habit, commit just to 6 weeks. Then add some diet changes. Small changes will get you where you want to go, take a year to take the same weight off.0 -

Do as Nike recommends, and "Just Do It?"0 -

I've found that healthy eating is much more important than exercise for weight loss. Once the weight starts dropping it is much easier to focus on exercise.0 -

Yes! Commitment/dedication is what keeps you going when motivation fades.
Start with logging everything you eat. Then look at where you need to adjust things to get within your calorie goal. You don't have to cut out everything you enjoy, as long as you can get it to fit your calories. Once you have that down, you can start looking at macros, making sure you are getting the proper ration of fats, protein, and carbohydrates.
Same thing with physical activity - start by maybe taking a walk around your neighborhood every evening. You'd be surprised at how much this can do. Then try to increase your pace and distance. When you're ready, you can look at other exercises (running, bicycling, classes at the gym, weights, whatever meets your fancy, though I recommend some kind of resistance). It doesn't have to be an hour + at the gym daily, especially at the start. 20 minutes of walking a day - you can commit to that, right?
In the end, it boils down to how much do you want this. In 12 months, you'll be a year older, no matter what. But are you willing to put in the work to be down 10kg this time? Do you really want it, and all the benefits that come with it? If you want it, you can do it!0 -

While I agree, I find that fitness goals add an additional motivator for sticking to the diet goals.0 -

This. Log everything without changing for 2 weeks. Then assess. Change one thing that first week. Just one thing. The next week, add another thing. The 3rd week, start going for a walk after dinner. Let it snowball and build.0 -

Wow now that's a motivation. Thank you so much guys...
The problem with me is I live in London with little or no sun to sweat and I love Indian food. These are making things more difficult for me now.
When I do excercise, I sweat like a pig but it's less often than more0 -

OP:
Exercise is for fitness and health. Sweat is not an indicator of calorie burned, just the body cooling itself. You have to hydrate properly.
Eating at a deficit is for losing weight.
I like Indian food too. I eat the proteins and the vegetables first and rice last. I usually can not finish the rice portion (it is too much quantity).
I like Dal and again eat that one first with some other vegetables, rice last and sparingly.
Good luck in your healthy journey

When you make the decision to change, you will.
None of us can do it for you ....
sweating has nothing to do with fitness or calories burned.0 -

I live in London. I've lost 44lbs so far. *Shrugs*0 -
PS. I sweat plenty without the sun. Sweat is not necessarily an indicator of effort.0

Well, if you're dead: problem solved!
LOL
You don't need inspiration, motivation, 'fitspiration' or any other -ation crap.
You need some boring old plain brown paper bag colored vanilla flavored routines, pure & simple. Things so idiot proof you can't keep getting in the way of your own progress!
When was the last time you left the house without pants? How often do you fail to brush your teeth? Do you ever not go to a doctors appointment or parent teacher conference at the last moment because you just don't feel like it? No, I didn't think so.
Well congratulations, you've just figured out where your healthy routines need to reside in your life. Right there at that level. Now get to work establishing them.
