Having a hard time losing weight. I've had success in the past (80lbs) but really hard this time. I'm an emotional eater and have been stressed out so I'm sabotaging my diet and it's a vicious cycle, feel guilty, eat more, repeat... any advice??

It may sound like I'm being harsh but to be frank, you gotta be honest with yourself and what you really want.

Remember that fitness is a lifestyle not a 90day program.

That being said, being whatever kind of eater don't matter if you are dedicated to staying fit via exercise.

Hope that helps and apologies if I seem like an a**hole but best to be straight than otherwise.

I think we've all been there and it is tough. I have to get everything bad out of my house and have all the food I plan to eat for the day packed/prepared/portioned. I put notes reminding me what I want more. Ultimately you need to realize that you can do this and stop the cycle of overeating and self loathing. Sometimes replacing the urge to eat with other activities also helps some. Wish I had more advice, but ultimately I think you need to give yourself a pep talk (not a negative bashing) and realized that you can do this and tell yourself you will. Develop a strategy, pull in people that care about you, and do it. Best of luck!

No apologies needed. I do exercise regularly. Food consumption is my Achilles heal. I've worked with a trainer , organized classes. I see results when I'm on track with my food intake. It really is 20% exercise, 80% food for sucess. Thanks again for the advice.
