My starting weight was 320, I am now 220. It's been a long long process. Most recently, since Dec./Jan. I have lost 30 pounds. Around 15 my parents noticed. Now my clients are noticing. A friend I don't see every day noticed but my friends I see more frequently haven't commented.

Started at 222. First comments came in at about 20lb down. At 45lb down, it's noticeable. Only a few people comment though. I have noticed many people who have never commented on my weight loss do discuss their own plans with me more often.

After 40 pounds it started to become obvious to some people. After 60 pounds I started getting a lot more comments. After 90 is when I started getting the "Damn, girl!" comments...mostly from those who'd I'd not seen in a year or so.

SW 140. 5'4". My stepmom has eagle eyes and notices as soon as I've lost 5 lbs. This is not typical. Most people didn't notice until I'd lost closer to 15 last time around.

For me, I started at 196, and people started to comment when I hit 175. From there on every ten pounds or so someone would comment that I'd lost more weight.

I haven't received any comment from my close family members yet. Iam sure it's easier for people who see us once every while to notice the change.

Weight is an awkward thing to talk about; people may not comment, even though they notice. What I have found more helpful is when I notice a difference.

People who see you every day might not notice the changes- It's just too close. My husband was disappointed that none of his coworkers had noticed the changes, but they had a convention last week and a lot of people from the satellite offices were in town- the people who hadn't seen him in months noticed right away and commented.

Don't feel hurt if people don't comment. :) Honestly, they simply might not have noticed.
