You know they aren't permanent right ?

My mom's ex girlfriend's daughter had it done and she looks anorexic.

Everyone is different. You get out of it what you put into it. Its a tool to use. Follow what the drs tell you and have a realistic goal and good luck. :)

I had the sleeve in December. I'm very happy with the results. It is a lifelong journey and will always be a challenge. But the tool that the sleeve provided me gave me a great start.

    Good luck with your journey!

My niece had that done when she was about 36. She lost so much weight so fast that it really messed up her blood chemistry etc. It led to her having a heart transplant at age 40. Pay attention to how your body responds. I truly hope all goes well for you.

Welcome! I had the bypass coming up to two years ago. It was a life changer, and I've lost over eight pounds all told (half from diet restriction prior to surgery).

Here's a group you may enjoy.

The program here in Canada includes months of preparation including dietary and lifestyle classes, therapy, physical exercise, and medical monitoring. I was admonished over and over that the surgery is a tool, and the hard work is still on me (the daily choices).
