Does this exist (app help)

Hi,
I am looking to do a virtual walk and can't seem to find an app that does that. Anything like that out there that exists?
Thanks =)

    Virtual walk? An app that tracks you doing nothing?

    Sorry I wasn't clear.
    Say I wanted to go from NYC to Seattle WA and import my data from cycling/walking
    That way I can track my progress.

    Ah! The only thing I know of would be to just look at the mileage and keep track of how many miles you've gone. If you want a picture of where you are on a map then perhaps someone else knows of a good one.

    Good luck.

    Have you tried mapmyfitness? Are you looking to import data from a device or just input data into an app?

    If you're not real time tracking you could create the map (on the mapmyfitness website) and keep track the time on your own. The app/site then combines that with distance to get estimated calories. It's easier to do on the website, unless you have a phone with data/gps and want to do real time tracking. I've been using it for my walks/hikes for the past month and it's been pretty good.

    Going to look at creating at map - it doesn't have to be real time something I could update weekly

    Wii Fit U will track your steps and tell you how close you are to paris or egypt or whatever. Don't know about phone apps though.

    But Google had roughly 26 million suggestions, so you might try there.

    I have used Runkeeper in the past, not so much lately. It allows you to zoom in on a map and create your own route, either by snapping portions to roads, or mapping out point by point as you go. They have mapped out all roads and many walking/running trails and you can switch between map and satellite mode to map a route down to even crossing intersections by zig-zagging the crosswalks. There is a learning curve as with most programs, but it gets easier as you do it. By the end of your journey, you would be an expert!
