I usually eat tuna fish with mayonnaise, black pepper, pickle relish and crackers. Is there a healthier but still just as good way to eat tuna fish?

You can sub things like like light mayo, light Miracle Whip, Greek yogurt, and reduced or fat free salad dressings for mayo in your tuna salad. You can also add veggies like red onion, bell pepper. You can eat it in a lettuce wrap instead of using bread or crackers. You can sprinkle the tuna on salad. You can buy it raw and make delicious, delicious poke.0

My favourite tuna salad is mixed with hummus. Eaten on a bed of spinach and tomatoes. I love it.0

try those new tuna & salmon pouches with the flavors mixed in - really liking them.0

I like toasting my bread, I buy the 40 calorie for 1slice kind. Then for the tuna, I add mustard, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, oregano, and basil. Then I add a thin slice of cheese for 40 calories. I have a pickle with my tuna sandwhich and its under 200 calories. ☺0

I will google it, I have never heard of it before. I have to watch my sodium intake too, do you know if it's high in sodium ? Thank you for letting me know, I am willing to try anything new if I am able to0 -

Oh wow, that does sound great! Thank you so much for sharing that with me! I love tuna but I have always found it hard to get experimental with it without hearing how it tastes first lol I am going to make tuna one of my main dinner dishes so that I won't be eating so much in the evenings.0 -

You're welcome. Yes, it's very good. I'm so used to using mayo, and decided one day to try it without. Being that mustard is considered "0" I think it's 4 calories per teaspoon, which is way better than mayo.0 -

Oh yes, so much better! I tend to go overboard with how much mayonnaise I use, especially in tunafish. I think it's considered more of a fat, which is a better reason to avoid it all together if possible for sure. Have you ever tried mustard with a handful of pretzels?0 -
@beatingobesityforlife Thanks for posting this -- I've been looking for some fun recopies for tuna as well, so I'll be watcing here intently for all the fun input.

I mix it with mashed avocado, chopped tomatoes, onion, shredded lettuce, and if I'm in the mood a few jalapeno slices then eat it wrapped in romaine lettuce0

You can add more veggies; chopped tomatoes, onion and celery and try fat free Greek yogurt instead of mayo, add a teaspoon of mustard.
Mmmm ;-)0 -
I eat it in heaps of different ways. At the moment I'm mostly doing 100g brown rice, tin of tuna in springwater (drained), steamed broccoli and green beans, fresh lemon juice, 1 tsp olive oil and some basil. It's a great mix of macros and keeps well in the fridge for lunches.0

Yes, when I was younger. I haven't had any in a long time. I find pretzels to have too much salt for my liking.0
