Nice. Congratulations on your weight loss. I too was about 180. Now I'm maintaining between 115 to 120. I actually lost all of my weight before I even joined MFP and it was through eating mainly plants and fruits and exercise. That's it. No magic.0

Congratulations on your weight loss, I'm glad you found a method that worked for you. Everybody is different though, and it's the calorie deficit that matters most. I was 329lbs, I've lost over 150lbs and I totally ate whatever the heck I wanted, including "junk food" such as chocolate, ice cream, potato chips and pizza. I simply moderated my portion sizes. I did exercise, but because I wanted to and I love it.

Congrats! my CW is 183.2 and my GW is 130ish I definitely can't cut out all junk food but I have lost 14lbs since October 2015 so cutting out some, only drinking water, & walking is doing something haha0

I was 202lbs. I am now 135 lbs. I ate junk food every single day throughout my weight loss process. Weight loss comes down to calories. As long as one eats less then they burn, they will lose weight. As long as someone is at a calorie deficit, they will lose weight. The foods they pick make no difference as far as weight loss goes.
I ate a well balanced diet ,hit all my macros and left room for a treat every night. I like moderation, not deprivation. I was able to learn portion control so having a serving of ice cream is no longer a problem. Along side of a healthy well balanced diet, there's no problem with having a treat or a snack. Someone would not have to give up all junk or treats in order to lose weight. All they would have to do is practice portion control and moderation.0
