My name is Megan. I started feeling really down about my weight over the last year as the pounds kept adding up. I took a position 2yrs ago as a call center representative and since then I've gained 30lbs, since all I do is sit. I am currently 216lbs and looking to lose about 65lbs total. It's time to get motivated and look and feel as good as I did when I graduated from high school and only weighed 150lbs. Can't wait for the day I look in the mirror and like what I see. Feel free to add me. Could use people who can motivate and use this app frequently. It would be awesome if anyone is from Clearwater/largo, FL area. Could use a gym buddy.

I know your pain with call centre work, I work in a similar environment with a rotating shift pattern. Sitting at a desk makes nibbling easier and almost habitual between meals, and timed meal breaks makes bad microwave meals an easy option too.
Stand at your desk a while each day rather than sitting, walk the long way to the loo when you break, try buying a pedometer they come really cheap online it will help motivate you to get up and potter around the room a little.
    Every little helps!

Thank you, I work a crappy 6pm-245am shift... Been drinking a lot of green tea to help with my appetite and also has me craving fruit, which is a plus lol. Been trying to wake up early and walk, but my weird schedule has me tired and unmotivated all the time.

Shift work is hellish for healthy diet, you're working when your body wants to sleep and wind up craving carbs and sugar and all the things that make your abs into flabs to stay awake and alert. Don't punish yourself for this but try to pre empt it!
Always have water on your desk, when you're in a dry air conditioned environment you can dehydrate and regular slurps will help fill you a little too.

Hey there, keep you chin up. I work 5pm to 5am. There is a ton of motivation here and some very knowledgeable people if you have questions. There are a lot of things you can do to help yourself. Drink ice cold water when you roll out of bed, you can raise your metabolism by about 50 cal daily. Get more vitamin D, which helps preserve muscle. Calcium in milk is a metabolic trigger. Iron is essential for carrying oxygen that your muscles need to burn fat. Move more, set a timer to get up and walk around at least once an hour and park further out in the parking lot when you arrive at work. Make three 100 cal changes each day, take your coffee black, take a salad instead of chips, and cut out the prepackaged snacks. Best wishes!!!

You are very welcome. I do with you the very best. For me, it was reaching the place where I would not allow anything to stop me. In the beginning, I logged EVERYTHING in MFP, and held myself strictly to my Cal goal. I credit a lot of my success to MFP, but I also worked out three times a week for at least 30 min.

Hi. I've lost 34 pounds. I am trying to lose any additional 25 to 30 pounds. I have changed my eating habits (whole foods / avoid processed foods) and included regular workouts (elliptical, cycling and weight training). Friend me if you'd like provide mutual support to reach our goals. I'm happy to share what worked for me and what didn't.

    Good luck.

    Kevin
