Hey guys,
So last night I went to dinner with friends and "binged". I had appetizer, 1 drink, entree w/ side, and dessert. I definitely ate past my fullness level but didn't care. I felt like poo-poo because I didn't lose weight last week and my fiance just left for 3 month job training in another state. I think I just didn't care in the moment. I'm pretty sure I ate 1.5 days' worth of calories and I don't even want to log it. I also slept for 15 hours last night which is WEIRD. Could that have been because I ate so much or just felt like poo-poo?
Blah.
I'm going to the gym today. I know I probably won't lose this week because of what I ate last night. Hopefully I'll maintain if I work out enough.
Words of advice and encouragement please...would be helpful...

HI Juliaky84,
It's ok. Just get back up and eat healthy today. (I know I slip up too many times too, but I just figured out it is not about the failing, but more about the getting up)
You deserve to have a night out and have fun and to be honest, it doesn't sound like you have been eating that much, just more than you have wanted.0 -
Don't log yesterday, it will only make you feel guilty and be a permanent reminder that you had too much. We all have off days, it's just one day in history now, its gone. Carry on trying as usual from today.
When one off day turns into a week, that's when you should be concerned.
One day is only 24 hours, it's nothing. Forget it.0 -
Commit to making healthy choices for today. Don't look to the past. Keep your eye on your goal, dust yourself off and move forward. And remember: failure is the opportunity to begin again more intelligently.0

Log yesterday to the best of your ability and move on. It's done, and that's all you can do.0

I disagree. It's really easy to get into a habit of lying to yourself, and this is how it starts. Be honest with yourself, log it, and keep going.0 -
You really should log it, even if you need to estimate. Your log is your data and it should be as accurate as possible. That way, when you need to make adjustments, you can look back and know that everything's there.
If you don't log high days, you can't troubleshoot.
One high day won't hurt unless it turns into many days.0 -
One of my favorite things to tell my self is "All I have to do is the next right thing" I could beat myself up over going over daily calories, and probably eat junk to make myself feel better or I could accept it, learn from it, move forward.
My husband use to work on the road and it was definitely hard when he wasn't there. Think how good you will feel and how many more things you can do together when they get back if you work on you while they are gone0
