What's your preferred digital food scale? Preferably listing make and model.
Please refrain from the "any of them will do" or generic top 3's, 5's and 10's links. Thanks.

I prefer the one I've got to any that I don't have, but it's the only one I've ever had so that probably doesn't help in any comparisons. (Seriously though, any of them will do).0

I have a starfrit digital scale, it does liquid and solid, and also for the liquids it has two diff settings....one for liquids like water or broth, the other for things like dairy etc....Its pretty solid0

I just got that one, and I really like it so far. I haven't used a food scale prior to that one so I don't really have anything to compare it to.0 -
I got this one: http://www.walmart.com/ip/The-Biggest-Loser-Digital-Food-Scale-6.6-lb.-Capacity/11090896
It works well for me. What ever one you choose make sure you get a TARE function. Makes things so much easier.0 -

This is the one I have. You can Tare and change from oz, to grams, lbs. very light and easy to use0 -
You know, if 20 people answer this post, you are likely to get 20 different answers.
This is the scale I use, well, similar, since I've had mine so long they no longer make my exact scale: http://www.amazon.com/Accuweight-Capacity-AW-KS004WB-Tempered-Electronic/dp/B01568D18S/ref=sr_1_52?ie=UTF8&qid=1458580521&sr=8-52&keywords=digital+food+scale
And at the risk of not answering the question within your specific guidelines, as long as you get a scale that can measure both grams and ounces and has the tare function, you really can't go wrong.0 -
Any of them with the ability to TARE and weigh in grams will serve your purpose.
I have this one. It's listed for $11 on amazon. I've used it for eight years.

You can definitely go wrong. I had a jewelry scale that measures 1/100th of a gram that I used to measure food and many on the market do not compare. I also do not want to drop over a grand to replace what I had.
Thanks for the input everyone

I'm sorry, but LOL. You can get a perfectly good food scale for less than $20 that has the features that pretty much every one here will recommend. I cannot think of how measuring your food to the 1/100th of a gram would be a benefit, but hey, you do you.0 -

That kind of accuracy is unnecessary. At most, you would need a food scale to measure 0.5g, but mine only measure to the gram and that's worked for me. I would focus more on the weight limit of the scale than the fractional gram measurements. A higher weight limit will let you weigh food while it is still in the pot/pan without having to portion it into smaller containers.0 -

I'd have to believe differences in product composition, or even variation in water content of raw foods would overwhelm the ability to derive meaningful data differences in centigrams.0 -
Yeah, all this. Here's a very well respected scale for 11 bucks.
http://www.amazon.com/Ozeri-Digital-Kitchen-Capacity-Stylish/dp/B003E7AZQA/ref=sr_1_2?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1458591039&sr=1-2&keywords=ozeri+kitchen+scale
That is the exact model I have, had it for 3 years and still works perfectly. Haven't even had to replace the battery, and I use it just about every day.0 -
I know you don't want to hear "any of them," but really, search on Amazon and sort by 4+ Star reviews. Then literally any of them will do. I even bought two different brands and they both show the exact same food weights down to the decimal.0

I've been using this Ozeri scale for 11 months, every day, several times a day. It is still accurate and I've yet to need to change the batteries. Has grams, ounces and tare, and it looks pretty on my countertop: amazon.com/Ozeri-Epicurean-Removable-Weighing-Platform/dp/B005WLPVUG/ref=sr_1_7?s=kitchen&srs=2598028011&ie=UTF8&qid=1458594521&sr=1-7&keywords=ozeri+scale0
